Woodland Trail

This year we decided to seed the trail in our woods with grass.  It had been mulched which washes away and has to be replaced which can be expensive.

PETER RABBIT TABLESCAPE

Green and brown brings nature to the table.  Coral candles mimic Peter's carrot.  The wood watering can sits on a wreath for an easy centerpiece.

BEFORE AND AFTER ENTRY

My daughter and her husband recently bought a home that needed updating.  It's a lot of hard work that is paying off.  They removed the glass from the hanging light and covered it with a drum shade from Ikea for an inexpensive update.  The addition of wider trim gives a lot of bang for your buck.  The walls are Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter and the trim is a custom match.  The wrought iron railing is Sherwin Williams Caviar.  Before and after:

MY GRANDMOTHER'S 1920's CHAMBER'S STOVE

My family saved this 465 pound 1920's stove for me for almost 40 years. My grandmother would look at it and say, "Ah, my proud beauty." I remember her cooking on it. I had it restored and put in my new kitchen.  I love it.

WELCOME SPRING TABLESCAPE

Sky blue and green are welcome colors after a long winter.
Mint in my grandmother's pitcher is an easy fresh centerpiece.
Candy eggs set in moss reminds us of new life in spring.
The table is an antique scrub top.  Blue quail from Furnivals set on woven Crate and Barrel placemats give a relaxed feel.  Green dishes from Walmart brighten the look.
A sweet bluebird provides the seasoning.
